Roberts Point Park
Roberts Point Park is situated next to the ferry landing with
the Port Aransas marina on one side and the Corpus Christi Ship
Channel on the other. Part of the fun of this park is sitting
and watching the giant ships go by. Many visitors to the see
dolphins riding the wake in front of the passing ships.
Roberts Point park has three playgrounds for the kids, a large
soccer and football field for public use along with several
covered picnic areas and pavilions. The park is the spot for
many and water front barbeque.
The park also has a viewing tower that overlooks the ship
channel and all the associated activity. In addition there is a
free lighted fishing pier and jetty finger that can produce
excellent fishing when schooling fish are moving in from the
Gulf of Mexico in Spring or out to the Gulf in fall. The summer
time provides catches of red drum, trout, black drum, some
species of snapper, flounder and other fish.
Port Aransas Community Park and Pool
Located off Ross Avenue on Clark Parkway the Community Park
is on the way to the
Port Aransas Birding Center.
The Community Park has a swimming pool (only to be rivaled
by the Aransas Pass Aquatic Center, a skate park, jogging
trail, baseball diamond, basketball court, volleyball court
and public concession stand. Check with the city of
Port Aransas Texas for pool hours.
Aransas Aquatic Center
Located across the ferry down the Port Aransas Causway to the
west from Port Aransas is the city of Aransas Pass.
Aransas Pass has the areas finest Aquatic Center or water park.
The Aransas Pass Aquatic Center has one tower with three large
water slides, and volley ball/lap pool, a High dive and diving
area along with an extremly large wading pool for little kids.
The wading pool has several different water fountains and
features the family will enjoy. The Aransas water park is
